In an effort to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), Southern Mississippi Planning & Development District Offices will be closed to the general public until further notice, effective at 5 p.m. on March 17, 2020. Our office will continue providing first class service to all of our service area by responding to emails, calls, and online requests.

We cover a 15 county area that includes 38 municipal governments in South Mississippi.
